Heya! We’re Kolyn & Denis – The Curious Tourists.
We met in 2010, got married in 2018 and have been on an adventure ever since. But here is the thing: We’ve never been full-time travellers. Instead, we’ve visited 80+ countries just using our work holiday days!
We want to show you that you don’t need to quit your job to see the world. We love visiting new destinations. From theme parks and cruises to city breaks and tourist attractions. We’re here to share our honest experiences, practical tips and plenty of laughs to help you plan your own adventures.
Kolyn is originally from Dublin and has spent his career in media. He works in creative programming for SPIN & iRadio (two of Ireland’s biggest radio brands).
Before The Curious Tourists, he was one of Ireland’s top drag stars, Joanna Ryde. His adventures included writing a book, winning Alternative Miss Ireland, hosting radio shows and appearing on Britain’s Got Talent and The All Ireland Talent Show.
- Loves: Lego, Formula 1 and rollercoasters.
- Fun Fact: Everywhere he goes, he buys a flag to add to the “Wall Of Flags” in our house!
Denis is from Tipperary and brings the professional eye to our travels. With a Diploma in Hospitality Management and a background in hotel management (including the Tower Hotel in Waterford), Denis knows exactly what to look for in a great travel experience. He currently works for leading sales and marketing company Stafford Lynch.
- Loves: Cruise ship design, history and food.
